HEADSHOTS

Everyone carries something on their head—an invisible headdress woven from the threads of our lives.  We carry responsibilities, commitments, struggles, dreams, and even the quiet ache of our failures. No two loads are the same. What feels light to one may feel crushing to another.  Some of us balance one weight, others juggle two or three at a time.  Yet each of us walks forward, learning grace, strength, and compassion as we carry what is ours.

Things People Carry on Their Head!

In this trilogy of thoughts, author Lenora reflects on the many invisible burdens we carry on our heads. Some weights are born from fear, uncertainty, and self‑doubt. Others rest on us because our faith wavers, because we haven’t fully embraced God’s truth, or because we have yet to discover His Word and understand who we are in Christ.  Each image became a gentle reminder that every person is carrying something. And true freedom begins when we lay our heavy things at God’s feet and choose to walk in the fullness of who He created us to be.

The Invisible Headdress

On the crown of silence,

we balance unseen weights—

memories stitched like feathers,

regrets pressed like stones.

Dreams perch lightly,

fluttering wings of tomorrow,

while doubts coil tight,

a serpent whispering “not enough.”

We carry the voices of others,

echoes of praise and blame,

woven into invisible halos

that tilt with every thought.

There are maps of lost places,

roads we never walked,

and the compass of longing

spinning without rest.

Yet among the burdens,

flowers bloom unnoticed—

kindness tucked like petals,

hope humming like bees.

Every head is a library,

a battlefield, a garden,

and though the world sees only faces,

we walk crowned by the subconscious.
